For connected life services, the partners will combine the latest information, communications and sensor technology with insurance and service offerings for retail customers. As far as corporate customers are concerned, the two companies will offer a combination of holistic cyber security solutions and insurance cover. "Our customers are making more and more use of digital technology in their day-to-day lives. We want to create a seamless package by integrating our services, such as advice, insurance cover and damage repair, to make their lives easier".
What became of it
Blocked · Low confidence · Last verified 2026-10-17
Research is blocked: there was not enough public evidence to establish what became of this innovation. Nothing below should be read as a verified 2026 status.
As catalogued
2014 strategic alliance combining Deutsche Telekom's connected-home platform (QIVICON) and mobile SureNow insurance portal with Allianz insurance and home assistance (Allianz Assist), plus an integrated cyber security and cyber insurance offer for corporate customers.
2026 reality
No evidence was found that the alliance or its connected-home bundle (Telekom Smart Home with Allianz Assist) is still marketed in 2026, and no termination announcement was found. Telekom's current corporate cyber-insurance package (announced October 2025) is offered with Zurich, brokered by DeTe-Assekuranz, not with Allianz.
Announced on 6 June 2014; from mid-June 2014 Telekom Smart Home combined with Allianz Assist home assistance was to be sold in selected Telekom shops for EUR 9.99 per month. Telekom shut its own short-term insurance portal SureNow and said its experience had gone into the Allianz cooperation. Allianz added Panasonic as a second smart-home partner (September 2015), and in 2017 Telekom agreed a smart-home assistance cooperation with ERGO, ending exclusivity. By 2025 Telekom's corporate cyber insurance was offered with Zurich instead.
an early example of insurer-telco ecosystem cooperation on smart home and cyber; Telekom subsequently worked with several insurers (ERGO, Zurich), so the arrangement did not remain exclusive or distinctive.
REVIEW · Re-checked: no 2026 product page or termination notice found, so status stays BLOCKED. Corrected the ERGO cooperation date from 2015 to 2017 (energate messenger) and the Panasonic partnership to 2015-09 (Allianz release).
