What became of it

As catalogued
A US cloud platform combining payroll, HR compliance and access to large-group health insurance and benefits for small businesses through a professional employer organisation (PEO) model.
2026 reality
Justworks, Inc. (SEC CIK 0001623414) remains a private, independent company selling payroll, PEO (Basic and Plus tiers with medical, dental and vision benefits administration) and international employer-of-record services to small and mid-sized US businesses. A pricing tracker reports a 2026 PEO Plus price rise and an ICHRA health-reimbursement add-on delivered with the partner Thatch.
Justworks filed for a US IPO (S-1, December 2021) and withdrew the registration in July 2022. In September 2023 it agreed to acquire Via Global Ventures, an international employment (EOR) platform, extending its PEO and payroll model to employees abroad.
the Via acquisition and native EOR product follow customers hiring internationally; the IPO withdrawal coincided with the 2022 market downturn, but no company statement on the reason was found.
Justworks is mainly an HR, payroll and PEO business. Its insurance relevance lies in bundling small-business employees into PEO-sponsored group health plans, an employer-channel distribution model rather than an insurtech product.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Verified the S-1 (2021-12-16) and RW withdrawal (2022-07-13) via the SEC EDGAR submissions API (no listing since; Form D filed 2023-11), and confirmed the September 2023 Via agreement through Justworks' own press release. Removed the 2026 pricing-tracker milestone (not a milestone and sourced only from a database); it remains hedged in reality2026.
