A benefit that lets employers give more without having to pay more
What became of it

As catalogued
Oration PBC (Foster City, CA) offered employers a prescription-savings benefit, OrationRx, that managed employees' prescriptions and found cheaper options, priced on a 'if you don't save, you don't pay' basis so employers could 'give more without having to pay more'.
2026 reality
Oration no longer exists as a distinct offer. Its pharmacy and software assets were acquired by the healthcare API company PokitDok in June 2017, and oration.com redirected to PokitDok by 2018; PokitDok's intellectual property, technology and team were in turn acquired by Change Healthcare in December 2018, which UnitedHealth Group acquired and combined with Optum in October 2022. The catalogued URL returned HTTP 500 in an archive capture of February 2026.
Oration, which had raised about USD 12.2m from investors including GV and Andreessen Horowitz, was folded into PokitDok's commercial pharmacy-benefit services in 2017, and PokitDok's assets were absorbed into Change Healthcare's Intelligent Healthcare Network in 2018.
according to PokitDok, the deal filled out its commercial pharmacy-benefit offering; a stand-alone employer prescription-savings benefit had limited scale on its own.
the performance-priced Rx-savings benefit anticipated later transparent-pharmacy-benefit offerings, but Oration itself survives only as absorbed assets.
