Mobile-first health insurance marketplace for independent workers that forecasts healthcare costs, recommends an ACA plan and applies the government subsidy in minutes.
2026 reality
Stride runs a portable benefits platform through which independent, gig and part-time workers enrol in health, dental, vision and life coverage and use income, mileage and tax tools. It is embedded in more than 140 gig and payroll platforms (e.g. Uber, DoorDash, Gusto) and reports more than 4.6 million connected workers. Integrity, LLC acquired Stride in July 2026; terms were not disclosed.
Moved from a direct ACA plan-picker to a portable benefits platform distributed through gig and payroll partners, and added dental, vision and life coverage. The 2021 Series C brought Allstate (to broaden insurance products) and Mastercard (portable benefits accounts) on board. Acquired by Integrity in July 2026.
partner embedding through gig platforms lowers acquisition cost compared with direct consumer marketing, and is the natural channel for workers without employer benefits. For Integrity, Stride adds an under-65 individual-market channel to its Medicare-focused agent network.
one of the few at-scale portable benefits platforms tied into gig-economy payroll flows; this is now a distribution asset inside a large health and life insurance distributor.
