Innovation intelligence brief
We know healthcare is expensive and confusing. That's why we took the burden out of your benefits
What became of it
Blocked · Low confidence · Last verified 2026-10-17
Research is blocked: there was not enough public evidence to establish what became of this innovation. Nothing below should be read as a verified 2026 status.
As catalogued
US (Chicago) consumer health-benefits app, offered by health plans and self-funded employers to members, that helped people view and understand their benefits, track spending and schedule in-network appointments.
2026 reality
zesthealth.com is now the site of Zest Health / Zest Dermatology, Inc., a virtual dermatology clinic for psoriasis and eczema (CEO Olivia Deitcher) that was incubated by Roivant Health and announced a USD 13m seed round in February 2025. No source links it to the benefits-navigation company in the catalog. CB Insights lists the original company (founded 2013) at stage 'Acquired' without naming an acquirer.
The original Zest Health raised a USD 6m Series A in August 2015 (investors including 7wire Ventures, whose partners Glen Tullman and Lee Shapiro co-founded it), with customers such as Presence Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, and later named Ann Mond Johnson CEO. Its subsequent fate is unconfirmed; the brand and domain are now used by an apparently unrelated virtual dermatology provider.
REVIEW · Re-searched for an acquisition or closure of the benefits-app company; found only the 2015 funding, the CEO appointment and the unrelated 2025 dermatology company on the same domain. Kept BLOCKED with low confidence; no changes to claims.
