Image-based insurance: insure items and file claims by taking a photo, with AI automating image-driven underwriting and claims processes.
2026 reality
picsure.ai is online and presents Picsure GmbH, now addressed c/o Regus, Heidenkampsweg 58, Hamburg, as an AI-based asset management platform with integrated claims handling (image-based FNOL plus machine-learning data enrichment) for connected insurance partners, covering real estate, infrastructure, motor, marine, equipment and other non-financial assets. The site has no dated content; a directory estimates about three employees; snapsure.de shows a default web-server page.
Founded in Munich in 2017 by Enrico Bolloni and Florian Bischof as Snapsure and renamed Picsure; by January 2018 it had launched a B2B AI platform for image-based insurance proposals, fraud detection and customer identification (example use case: SkenData's Wert14 photo-based home insurance quote). The company has since moved its address from Munich to Hamburg and, according to its website, widened the focus to image-based management of non-financial assets with integrated claims handling.
an early image-recognition approach to quoting and FNOL; in 2026 image-based claims capture is widespread, so Picsure appears to be a small niche provider.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Verified the 2017 founding, the Snapsure rename and the January 2018 platform launch via Coverager, and the current Hamburg address and asset-management/claims offer on picsure.ai. No dated activity after 2018 was found, so the record stays low confidence; no claims changed.
