As catalogued
Robo-advisor launched under Allianz Suisse's Elvia brand, built on additiv's SaaS platform with video identification and e-signature from Intrum Justitia: an insurer entering digital investment advice.
2026 reality
Discontinued. Allianz Suisse announced on 28 October 2019 that it was withdrawing ELVIA e-invest from the market at the end of November 2019; the e-invest.ch domain no longer resolves.
Launched by Allianz Suisse's Elvia brand in 2017 on additiv's SaaS wealth platform, with custody at Saxo Bank. About two years later Allianz Suisse closed it because demand for purely digital investment did not develop as expected; customers could cash out, keep their account at Saxo Bank or move into other Allianz Suisse investment products, and two employees were affected (finews).
according to Allianz Suisse, low uptake of robo-advice in Switzerland (under CHF 320m in robo-managed assets in 2018) did not justify continuing; the closure followed other Swiss robo-advisor exits such as Glarner Kantonalbank's Investomat.
an early example of an insurer using a white-label robo-advisor to diversify into investments; its closure illustrates the weak economics of small-scale robo-advice in Switzerland.
