We make software that helps ordinary drivers become safe drivers, and helps insurers find and reward them.
What became of it

As catalogued
California-based smartphone telematics software (debuted 2013) that scored consumer driving behaviour so insurers could identify, reward, and price safe drivers without hardware.
2026 reality
Driveway no longer operates under its own brand; driveway.ai does not resolve. Its telematics app assets were acquired by Earnix, which markets an IoT & Telematics usage-based insurance offering that feeds driver-behaviour data into pricing and rating.
In July 2021 Earnix acquired the assets of Driveway Software Corp., including its consumer telematics app, as a core component of Earnix's UBI/BBI offering. The standalone telematics business was absorbed into Earnix's pricing platform.
standalone smartphone-telematics vendors faced scale competitors; combining the data capture with a pricing engine gave Earnix an end-to-end UBI proposition.
the capability survives only as one input to Earnix's pricing and rating platform; Earnix's current UBI page does not mention a branded mobile app.
