As catalogued
A Malaysian online comparison platform for financial products. It let consumers compare medical (and car) insurance alongside credit cards and loans and earned revenue from partner commissions and leads.
2026 reality
iMoney.my still operates its medical-insurance comparison page, last updated August 2026. iMoney belongs to JurisTech, a Malaysian fintech software company serving banks and insurers, and shares its Kuala Lumpur headquarters.
Ownership changed twice: ASX-listed iSelect bought into iMoney in 2017 and built a majority stake (84.3% by 2020), sold it back to founder Lee Ching Wei in August 2020, and JurisTech acquired iMoney later that month. The comparison model remains substantially intact.
one of several Southeast Asian financial comparison sites. Its ownership by a lending- and insurance-software vendor could give it product-matching data, but there is no public evidence of a distinct insurance proposition.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Verified the JurisTech acquisition (announced 2020-08-26, terms undisclosed) and iSelect's August 2020 exit via Digital News Asia, and confirmed the iMoney medical-insurance comparison page is live (updated 2026-08-19). Corrected the iSelect exit details (84.3% stake sold back to the founder), dated the iSelect majority milestone to 2017 only, and added the press source.
