As catalogued
A portable online reputation score (TrustScore) built from social-network, marketplace and review data, applied to trust-based services including insurance, notably the Trustbond rental surety bond that replaced cash rental deposits.
2026 reality
The traity.com domain no longer resolves. Dealroom and the Spanish government startup directory (startups.one.gob.es) list Traity as closed, without a closure date or acquirer. No product or successor was found.
Madrid-founded (2012) and US-incorporated as Traitperception Inc.; raised a USD 4.7 million round in 2014. Moved from a general reputation passport into insurance: in 2017 its Trustbond surety bond, scored with its TrustScore, was offered by Suncorp in Australia through landlord-insurance distributor Terri Scheer, with availability limited by state tenancy law. Company databases now list it as closed; no closure announcement was found.
rental surety bonds gave the reputation score a concrete monetisable insurance use case, but the regulatory limits reported in Australia constrained the product's reach.
an early attempt to use alternative reputation data for underwriting; the idea has since been taken up by credit and identity data providers and by deposit-replacement insurers.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Confirmed traity.com does not resolve and the 2017 Coverager Trustbond/Suncorp article exists; no closure announcement found in independent search, so discontinued status rests on database flags. Kept REVIEWED with low confidence.
