The business operates as helden.de; haftpflichthelden.de redirects there. Product documents name helden.de GmbH (Hamburg, managing director Jan Louis Schmidt) as Assekuradeur and §34d insurance agent and NV-Versicherungen VVaG as insurer, with private, dog, horse, drone and professional liability products. In April 2026 Getsafe announced it was taking over helden.de with more than 100,000 liability, home contents and bicycle policies, to be fully integrated into Getsafe's platform.
Haftpflicht Helden rebranded to helden.de and expanded beyond personal liability into dog, horse and drone liability, household insurance and business liability for more than 400 occupations, according to a company press release (c. 2021). After raising about EUR 25m, helden.de was acquired by Heidelberg-based Getsafe in April 2026 (price undisclosed); the contracts are to be migrated to Getsafe's platform.
