Digital insurance manager embedded in the N26 banking app, powered by Clark's bancassurance API: users could see all their policies, start claims and, as planned, compare and switch tariffs from over 160 German insurers.
2026 reality
N26's German insurance page presents only travel insurance included in the Go and Metal plans, underwritten by Allianz Assistance; the on-demand phone insurance launched with simplesurance in 2021 is marked 'no longer available' in N26's support pages. Clark is not mentioned. Clark itself continues as an independent digital broker (CLARK Holding SE).
Reportedly around 2020 Clark, preferring to focus on its own app, agreed with N26 to change the integration so that N26 users were redirected to their Clark account instead of managing policies inside the N26 app. The Clark-powered insurance overview is no longer presented; N26 added smartphone insurance with simplesurance in 2021 (since withdrawn) and now presents only bundled travel insurance from Allianz Assistance.
N26 moved from a broker-style policy manager to bundled and embedded insurance that supports its paid membership tiers.

REVIEW · Checked N26's insurance page (only Allianz Assistance travel cover) and found via N26 support that the simplesurance phone insurance is no longer available, so removed the claim that it is still offered. The 2020 Clark redirect could not be verified beyond a search snippet (Versicherungsbote HTTP 403) and stays hedged.
