Aigang is DAO Insurance Protocol; Crowd-sourced insurance pools discovery; Earn rewards from prediction markets powered by DAO Smart contracts
What became of it
Blocked · Low confidence · Last verified 2026-10-17
Research is blocked: there was not enough public evidence to establish what became of this innovation. Nothing below should be read as a verified 2026 status.
As catalogued
Singapore-based Ethereum protocol for peer-to-peer, DAO-governed insurance of IoT devices, with tokenised insurance pools and prediction markets; first demo product was smartphone battery insurance on an Ethereum testnet.
2026 reality
No live product was found: the aigang.network domain no longer resolves (October 2026) and all coverage dates from 2017. The AIX token is still listed on crypto price trackers with only marginal trading volume (undated snapshot), which says nothing about an operating insurance product.
In 2017 Aigang published a whitepaper for a layered DAO insurance protocol with prediction markets and AIX utility tokens, and launched Android/iOS demo apps for smartphone battery insurance on an Ethereum testnet, announcing plans for drones and smart cars and a later mainnet release. No mainnet launch, commercial insurance operation, closure or successor was verified.
representative of the 2017-2018 wave of tokenised peer-to-peer insurance protocols; no evidence it reached commercial insurance operations.
REVIEW · Re-searched for post-2017 status (launch, shutdown, successor); only undated token price pages and developer docs surfaced, so the record stays BLOCKED with no changes to the content.
