As catalogued
No-code cloud platform that lets insurers and brokers build, configure and distribute insurance products quickly without legacy core-system projects.
2026 reality
INSTANDA markets an API-first, cloud-native policy administration and distribution system (product creation, policy administration, digital distribution, reporting) for L&H and P&C carriers and MGAs. Named clients include Hiscox, Sompo Japan, Standard Bank, Markel, Bupa and HDI. It now promotes AI products (INSTANDA MAX for dynamic underwriting, INSTANDA CLEAR) and a ServiceNow integration.
The no-code product-configuration model remains, now positioned as a full PAS with AI-enabled underwriting tools (INSTANDA MAX, CLEAR) and extended from the UK to clients in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. A $45M round led by Toscafund in June 2022 (after $19.5M in early 2020) funded US/Canada expansion; Toscafund was recorded as a 25-50% PSC until August 2023.
A no-code product configurator competing in a crowded cloud-PAS market (e.g. Duck Creek, Majesco, Socotra); its speed-to-market positioning is now table stakes, and AI underwriting add-ons are its current differentiator.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Re-fetched the INSTANDA site (PAS offer, MAX/CLEAR, client logos) and verified the June 2022 $45M Toscafund-led round via Carrier Management, identifying 'Tosca' as Toscafund. Changed strategic evolution from 'retained' to 'expanded' with geographic-expansion (UK to US/Canada/Japan clients).
