Innovation intelligence brief
Innovation intelligence brief
Added by the 2026 Swiss InsurTech research (issue #41) from public sources, not by the original academic study (Stoeckli, Dremel & Uebernickel). Its 2016 and 2017 classifications apply the original taxonomy definitions but were not validated by that study. All innovations in this cohort · Methodology ↗
FINMA-registered digital insurance adviser that uses AI to consolidate a household's policies across insurers, monitor them continuously and propose savings or coverage improvements, with claims and service requests handled through the same interface.
Research profile · Swiss Innovation · 2021–2026
Classification notes · FINMA licence type is not stated in the sources (the website says 'registered with FINMA'); the register entry was not checked. AI is presented by the company and press as the core mechanism, hence ai-native. Business model coded b2c plus marketplace (broker matching across insurers) although the flat-fee option makes it partly a paid advisory service.

At launch
An AI 'trustee' that manages a household's insurance continuously rather than only at purchase or renewal, offered with a fee-only option that refunds commissions.
2026 reality
Live since January 2026 after the pilot. Shortlisted in April 2026 among the five Early Stage finalists of the Swiss FinTech Awards 2026. Its website states that over 4,000 policies have been optimised (company claim).
The original model remains substantially intact.
the fee-based, commission-refund option distinguishes it from commission-driven Swiss digital brokers; an early example of agentic AI applied to consumer insurance advice.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Verifier: URL corrected from credura.in (does not resolve) to credura.ch; legal entity is Credura GmbH. The claim 'top five early-stage start-ups' was unsourced; replaced with the April 2026 Moneycab report of its Early Stage finalist nomination. Added the company website as a primary source.
Research interpretation
