Innovation intelligence brief
Added by the 2026 Swiss InsurTech research (issue #41) from public sources, not by the original academic study (Stoeckli, Dremel & Uebernickel). Its 2016 and 2017 classifications apply the original taxonomy definitions but were not validated by that study. All innovations in this cohort · Methodology ↗
Multi-agent GenAI assistant that answers questions on the Swiss fire-safety regulations 2026 (BSV 2026) and guides fire-protection experts through a dialogue to a structured report, supporting fire-protection planning and the initial assessment of building applications; piloted as a proof of concept and being developed into a production application.
Research profile · Swiss Innovation · 2021–2026
Classification notes · Evidence is a vendor case study plus a public procurement record (via TenderLift; SIMAP is authoritative); no statement by AGV or the other insurers was found. The 2016/2017 taxonomies have no leaf for regulatory or permit assistance; 'Predictive prevention' is the closest fit. Market positioning 'insurer' only: the tool serves the statutory insurers' own prevention mandate, not a service sold to others. Maturity 'experimental' (PoC, production build commissioned).
What became of it

At launch
Cross-cantonal GenAI agent for interpreting fire-safety regulations in the prevention role of Swiss public building insurers.
2026 reality
According to PCG, the pilot validated technical feasibility and the potential for productive nationwide use. AGV directly awarded a follow-on contract (CHF 700,000 incl. VAT, SIMAP, May 2026) to Public Cloud Group AG - Schweiz to turn the POC into a productive application; no production launch was found by October 2026.
Moved from a completed proof of concept to a commissioned production build (May 2026 direct award).
applies GenAI to the prevention mandate unique to Swiss cantonal building insurers; impact depends on a nationwide rollout across the VKF/VKG system.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · The only source was the vendor case study. Added independent evidence: a SIMAP direct award by AGV ('Agent BSV 2026', published 7 May 2026, CHF 700,000 incl. VAT to Public Cloud Group AG - Schweiz) to turn the completed POC into a productive application. This confirms the POC and AGV's lead role, and shows the project is moving towards production. Replaced the pcg.io '?p=' link with its canonical URL and narrowed market positioning to 'insurer'. Still no statement from the insurers themselves.
