Innovation intelligence brief
Innovation intelligence brief
Added by the 2026 Swiss InsurTech research (issue #41) from public sources, not by the original academic study (Stoeckli, Dremel & Uebernickel). Its 2016 and 2017 classifications apply the original taxonomy definitions but were not validated by that study. All innovations in this cohort · Methodology ↗
AI risk-intelligence platform for asset-heavy companies and their insurance and risk teams: it combines company records with external hazard data in a digital twin of assets, risks and controls, maps them against policy terms to flag coverage gaps (e.g. under-declared values, sublimits below modelled loss), and produces renewal-ready evidence packages for brokers, boards and lenders so that coverage can be negotiated on documented risk.
Research profile · Swiss Innovation · 2021–2026
Classification notes · Borderline with the climate/risk segment; included because the product is explicitly built around insurance coverage, renewal and insurer submissions. Business model coded b2b-smb (insurance-related service sold directly to corporates) rather than b2b-saas, whose definition covers sales to insurers, brokers, MGAs or employers. Website statistics (e.g. share of claims refused for coverage gaps) are third-party figures quoted as marketing, not product results.

At launch
Agentic AI that keeps a living risk dataset of a corporate's asset portfolio and turns it into insurer-ready submissions and portfolio risk profiles.
2026 reality
Pre-seed funded (EUR 2m, Feb 2026, led by AENU and co-led by PT1/PropTech1, with angels including David Helgason); the website offers diagnostics to corporates; customers not disclosed.
The original model remains substantially intact.
addresses the insured/broker side of commercial property risk data, where submission quality drives pricing, rather than selling to carriers.
Third taxonomy
REVIEW · Found official URL (scyai.com) and Zefix entry (registered Aug 2025). Removed Dealroom and Seedtable (HTTP 403) and BeBeez (HTTP 404) sources; launch date set to the register entry (2025-08); rewrote mission from the website; dropped the unsourced 30-50% premium-reduction claim; business model changed from b2b-saas to b2b-smb.
