2026 reality
GIA still runs an annual '100-Day Program' (a 15-week hybrid accelerator ending at the Global Insurance Symposium in Des Moines). Its 12th cohort (2026), described as its most international, has founders from four countries; each startup receives US$50,000 for 5% equity via a post-money SAFE. GIA reports 85 alumni companies and over US$3 million invested.
The original model remains substantially intact, extended with an international intake and a curriculum partnership with the University of Iowa (2023).
one of the longest-running insurer-backed insurtech accelerators in the US, anchored in the Des Moines insurance cluster alongside BrokerTech Ventures.
