A Canadian online insurance brokerage (iQ Insurance Services, Vancouver, BC; iqinsurance.ca) offering simple, convenient home insurance, as well as auto, travel and commercial cover, bought digitally.
2026 reality
iqinsurance.ca does not resolve (DNS lookup failed, October 2026). Westland Insurance, a Canadian brokerage group, publishes a page titled 'iQ Insurance is now Westland Insurance' stating that iQ Insurance Services clients keep their advisors under the Westland name, with policies serviced from Westland's Burnaby (Metrotown) branch, or Markham for Ontario clients.
According to Westland, iQ Insurance Services was acquired by and folded into Westland Insurance; the transaction date was not found. Web archive captures show the iQ site live until at least January 2018 and redirecting from January 2019. The separate iQ brand and website no longer operate.
simple digital home insurance in Canada is now offered by several direct carriers, MGAs and consolidating brokerages such as Westland, so the concept is no longer distinctive.
