2026 reality
Sanitas operates the Sanitas Portal app and customer portal. In November 2024 the company said over 0.5 million customers used the app, which offers receipt scanning, coverage checks, bill explanations, exercise rewards, symptom checking, mental-health support and a virtual assistant. The catalog URL for the old app page returns HTTP 404.
The SanitasNet portal and app were consolidated under the Sanitas Portal name and extended from administration into health services: a 'Meine Gesundheit' section, payment of bills via Twint, credit card or Apple Pay (March 2021), and in November 2024 a 'Chronic Journey' for high blood pressure detection using Lifelight smartphone-camera vital-sign estimates.
Swiss health insurers have shifted their portals from claims administration toward health engagement and prevention to deepen customer relationships.
