2026 reality
The catalog URL returns HTTP 404, but the July 2016 press release is still published on axa.com under a new path. No report on products launched under the 2016 global partnership, or on its current status, was found. Separately, AXA Hong Kong and Macau announced in April 2025 a partnership with Ant Bank (Hong Kong) and AlipayHK to sell AXA savings and life products inside the AlipayHK app, showing the AXA-Ant relationship continues in a narrower, regional form.
Announced on 29 July 2016, the partnership's first phase targeted extended-warranty and payment-protection products for AliExpress customers, insurance for SMEs trading on Alibaba.com and 1688.com, and outbound travel insurance for Chinese travellers via Ant Financial, developed by AXA's local entities. Whether these products launched or the global partnership is still active was not established; the 2025 AlipayHK deal is a separate Hong Kong agreement.
